Do you wish you could have gone to a fishing class when you were in Junior High or High School?
(we do!)
Now YOU can help preserve the great sport of fishing and give the gift of fishing to a young person, just as someone gave it to you!
The Bass Federation (TBF) has recently released its new TBF Student Angler Federation in school fishing club program and the reviews have been GREAT! We would appreciate you taking this message to student bodies across the country!!
The TBF Student Anglers Program contains two parts.
Part one Starts with a free introduction DVD that is shown in a classroom or a general student body assembly. It will show students how fun and interesting the outdoors can be and the opportunities created by putting their education to use. Also included is a sample copy of our classroom workbook, which is designed to show students the true importance of their education in a fun and exciting way. In the program, we break down the basic elements of their education to show them how those basic educational tools, Math, Science and Language Arts, are necessary in everything they do in life, and how they are used by anglers out on the water every day. We also show some of the career opportunities today in outdoorsfishing.
Part two After the DVD has been shown to the student body, we hope there is an interest in starting a TBF Student Anglers Federation fishing club. Students can get started learning, putting their educational tools to use, possibly earning scholarship money and having some clean family fun! TBF will provide each student who joins a TBF school club a complete 9 lesson workbook, along with an instructors copy and instructor’s CD for them to follow along with. Each student who joins a TBF Student Anglers Federation Club will also receive regular, full TBF member benefits, club insurance, event AD&D coverage and a full one year membership to FLW Outdoors, including FLW Outdoors magazine, as well as other benefits.
We are convinced that every federation member knows someone who either attends or works at a school in their area. With all the things out there today that can sidetrack a young person, America`s youth need an outlet that promotes clean family fun.
So what can you do to help? Here are a couple of options.
Ask the person you know if they would be interested in receiving information on the TBF Student Anglers Federation in school fishing program, we will be happy to answer any questions. (There is no cost to the school for the program!!)
