Table Rock. The fishing was just good enough to keep it fun. We tried a lot of different areas of the lake looking for water with a little "color". The best day we had was pitching Eakins jigs to bank wood and brush in a small creek way up the James River arm near Cape Fair. The cranking bite was just dead unfortunately. The fish weren't on the banks for some reason. Water temps were mostly around 60 and the shad were 1/2 to 2/3s of the way into the creeks. We caught some decent Spots with Rock jigs on some main lake points in Long Creek and on the bank-end of a few of the big commercial docks. Caught the big fish of the trip, a nice 22" LM, on a main lake point using a rock jig. It was an "Iaconelli moment" - last spot we tried on the last day of the trip. Pretty cool.
