I was able to get out some last Friday before memorial weekend on Old Hickory. The bass are not on the ledges in numbers but moving closer. I headed out of Flippers and went into Station Camp to favorite point that is post spawn and only caught a few dinks. The water had good color and was about summer pool. I moved around the white rocks but again a few dinks on watermelon jigs. I fished the creeks for a few hours but only short fish. I headed out to the main river points and that is where things picked up. The current was rolling so I tied on a 1/2 oz black football jig from www.secretlures and commenced to catching 12 keepers with a solid limit of 5 going 15lbs. The water was 70 degrees so it won't be long before some good ledge fishing is on. We need another 5-10 degree water temps before it really gets moving.
