Hey folks. We I am finally all moved into the new house 1 block from a lake norman boat ramp. I have been able to get out 2 times in the past few weeks. Both days were chilly about 48 degrees but that didn't stop the fish from biting. Day 1 i found most the fish on boat docks as it was sunny out. Just had to find a dock with brush piles on it. That is easier said tthen done. The lake is full of docks. I would think a side scan imaging from Hummingbird would be nice for this. I caught 11 bass, best 5 around 10-11 lbs. My little 1/4 oz watermelon jig was the ticket. Day 2 was overcast and the dock thing was not happening. I fished for over 3 hrs without a bite and then pulled up on one spot a stair stepping type break. It went from 4ft to 10ft to 15ft in a span of 10 yards. They were stackedin there. In 30 minutes or so I had 15 bass best 5 around 9lbs. I had several other bites but missed them. I broke off on a big one but didn't get a look at her. I hope to get out several days over the christmas break after I get back from TN. BTW scheduling a trip to famed Guntersville this coming Saturday. I plan to catch a pig or two.
later and Merry Christmas
